Gold marks
10Kmeans 41.7% pure gold.14Kmeans 58.5% pure gold.18Kmeans 75.0% pure gold.24Kmeans pure gold for pricing purposes.
Equivalent numeric stamps:
417= 10K585= 14K750= 18K999= 24K
Silver marks
.800is 80.0% silver..900is 90.0% silver..925is sterling silver..999is fine silver.
